‘Career Corridor’ – Soft Skills Training
The Office of Placements and Career Guidance, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) organized a Soft Skills training session for the final year Under Graduate and Post Graduate students in the month of January 2022. A total of 160 students registered for the session, and they were divided into three batches. Each batch had a six-hour training module in total spread across four sessions of ninety minutes duration. The sessions were conducted by Ms. Jaicy George, a professional trainer with more than two decades of experience in Soft Skills training and associated with The Institute of Chartered Accountants Institute of India (ICAI). The topics covered in training module include the following. Resume Building and Job Application session which covered areas like resume writing, cover letters, career objectives, job search engines etc. Interview skills and Group discussion sessions included effective communication during an interview, types of interviews, mock interviews, importance of Gr
