“I'm Nishi Asher from 5BBA F&A and I'm placed with KPMG in the GRCS department. The selection process I went through consisted of an aptitude test, group discussion and two rounds of interviews. Post registration, there was an aptitude test followed by a psychometric assessment. The aptitude test covered general topics such as quants, logical reasoning, verbal ability. There were 45 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. After the aptitude test, the shortlisted candidates were notified and further steps in the selection process took place on the same day.The GD topic I received was "Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on economy and organisations". It was a pretty general topic and a minute was given to gather our thoughts post which the discussion commenced. It lasted for about 30-45 minutes. Within an hour after the GD, I received a notification for my first round of interview which was a mix of technical and HR. My final round of interview was conducted later during the day and was more towards the HR side of it, my understanding of the role and expectations from the company. The webinars recommended by the department on interview skills conducted by professional bodies helped me to a greater extent in clearing my interviews. All in all, the selection process was smooth and hassle free.

“The placement process is a huge deal for any student or stakeholder involved and I personally felt it was well coordinated and smooth. Looking at the POSITIVES, there are more than a few:
1) The concept of placement reps is
very helpful and it’s the best way for any student to reach out to the
companies.
2)The department has done a great job by constantly calling in industry experts,
career counsellors, alumni's, etc to constantly be there for the students and
help out in clearing any doubts.
3) The department has also conducted many skill up sessions to chisel its
students into complete capable students with all necessary skills to bag their
dream job.
4) Hats off to the placement department too for constantly managing the whole
process so smoothly. Overall I felt the process was smooth and easy.
