The School of
Engineering and Technology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), established in
2008, has an enviable record when it comes to Campus Placements for Engineering
students. The academic year 2019-20, witnessed a meteoric rise in the number of
organizations participating in campus recruitment, a total of 87 organizations
from different sectors like IT, Heavy Engineering, Automobile, Audit and Tax,
Data Analytics, EduTech etc. Some of the prominent recruiters for placements
include SAP Labs, Ashok Leyland, Tata Consultancy Services, Mercedes Benz,
Hewlett Packard, Mindtree, Deloitte, ITC Infotech, to name a few.
The final year
students of the Bachelor of Technology programme were also given a ten-day
Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) conducted by Seventh Sense and Bizotic. The training
covered various aspects of campus recruitment process like resume writing,
personal interview, mock group discussion sessions, analytical skills and
logical reasoning. These sessions helped the students to virtually simulate a
campus recruitment drive and provided an insight into key focus areas.
The School of
Engineering and Technology has also established a vibrant academia-industry
interface through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various organizations such
as Renault Nissan, Tech Mahindra, BOSCH, Mercedes Benz, Tata Advanced Materials
etc which help the students to develop skills and understand academics from an
industry perspective.
A total of 288
students received job offers during the academic year 2019-20, through the
campus recruitment process. The highest annual salary packages include Rs 13
lacs CTC (Cost to Company) offered by Moneytap, Rs 12 lacs CTC (Practo), Rs
9.60 lacs CTC (Progress), Rs 9.00 lacs CTC (Radysis), Rs 8 lacs CTC (Mavenhive)
and Rs 7.20 lacs CTC (Darwinbox). The average salary package offered was around
Rs 6.50 lacs CTC.
In addition to campus
recruitment for full-time hiring, a total of 95 students from the 5th
and 6th Semesters of the Bachelor of Technology programmes were
offered internship opportunities with 25 organizations. Though established in
2008, The School of Engineering and Technology has developed quickly into one
of the leading institutes in terms of the quality of education, holistic
development of students and campus placements for engineering graduates.
